I'm free-
free'er than I've ever been before.
The mountains rise in the distance
so, near and yet so far.
The tiny islands are drenched in sunlight
washed and bathed in the waters cool,
calm blankets of eternal peace.
Oh! to live here,
to stay here,
To dwell forever in the eternity,
the freedom, her peace,
her angel like wings -
Carrying me away, and away.
A high I cannot come down-,
I cannot go back.
Never mind I won't think.
I won't think of the shore.
I won't ponder what's there.
I'm free,
I'm not me,
I'm not hung up-
I'm taking pictures,
I'm soaking in the beauty-
I'm slipping in eternity
I'm falling down drunk with happiness.
And I'll never go home,
I'll never touch shore.
I am home.
I'm in love with the feeling.
And the waves splashing
across the sides,
up the bow and soaking me;
they are my friends-
And I've been kissed by a greater joy
than once I thought.
I'm free -
God how lovely -
How treasured this hour-
My freedom.
