Campfire

Kindling And Stones
By Linda A. Copp

Kindling and stones
Before the Beginning
After the End.
And in between,
Something,
Something,
Something of existence,
That line
Between two points.
The time of inescapable sorrow
and exquisite joy.

Kindling erupts into a flame, the beginning!
Ashes and Sand
Remnants and such
One meets the fire
the other greets the moor.
Circles and Circles
one to another.
Yet, I'd choose the Kindling
To be at the Beginning,
So much to Feel.
Yes, to Feel that Something,
that Something
Between Fire and Ash.

Ah! Yes to Feel,
To be Forever
And always at the
Beginning!
