Magic
weaves wonder
to childlike delight
With stardust and angels
and guardians bright.
An abracadabra,
and then once upon a time
The present nods its head
sleeping,
gone to bed in dreamtime.
The Sandman,
Pied piper,
and elfkins arise,
Enchanting, creating,
this child's paradise,
With moonbeams to slide on
and sunshine all day
The time never tarries,
nor withers away.
With rainbows like prisms
Yet, no rain in sight
The wonder of daydreams,
flies far beyond night.
Lacy white patterns,
adrift in blue sky,
Angel hair flying
in a splendor on high.
Dancing through sunlight,
days bursting with fun
Chasing the rainbows
which heaven has spun.
There are lollipop forests of
yellow
and
green
Awaiting the touch
of their King and their Queen.
Stand peppermint bridges
o'er chocolate lake,
And mountains of ice cream,
marshmallow and cake.
The Sandman waiting
with stardust so mild.
This kingdom awaiting,
the touch of a child.
