Soaking wet, I got up, now, 
angrier than he.
But he flew ahead of me 
this mean old stinging bee.

I chased him through the water, 
yelling all the way,
"Bumble bee you're dead, your dead,"
was all that I could say.

But, then my anger vanished, 
for beyond me, just ahead
something was bobbing in the water,
and Mr. Bee was buzzing o'er its head.

What's this, I wondered now, 
forgetting how mad I'd been.
I wasn't afraid, just curious 
and I decided to tote it in.
